With a population of just over 7,000, Devils Lake has a friendly hometown atmosphere set in an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. Its namesake lake is home to world-class fishing year-round, with anglers coming from everywhere to catch the abundant perch, walleye, bass and northern pike.

The rolling hills and game preserves in the area are home to bison, elk, white-tailed deer, prairie dogs, and numerous species of waterfowl, songbirds and shorebirds.
